Our History

Having an extensive manufacturing background in the spring industry, Samuel Lowry established Lakeside Spring Products in September of 1997. With only three machines, he hired Jim as the Plant Manager and Bill as a journeyman machinist, both being experienced toolmakers. The three worked diligently to grow the company, hire more employees and build a successful client base. With expanded growth and to meet customer needs, Lakeside added considerable equipment including horizontal and vertical four-slides, punch presses and wire forming machines.

In 2016, Sam retired and sold his business to Jake Veltman Jr. and Jake Veltman III who renamed it Lakeside Spring LLC. Today, progress continues within our 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Muskegon Heights. 

Lakeside Spring is strategically streamlining operations to be even more competitive, meet demands, and continue the high quality manufacturing processes that have made us successful. We thrive on the often tough, short run jobs that the larger companies sometimes do not desire to tackle. It is a core strength we’ve always embraced and will continue for years to come.
